Advice for the Kitchen Witch

Asceptic techniques are not simply for the paranoid and the health-care worker. One should make it a rule to wash after using the bathroom, handling food, handling chemicals... hell, handling ourselves. Why, do I mention this?

Yesterday I made some safe-breath oil mix for my mother to use while she is away on vacation, cruising the Hawaii, and exposing herself to many unaccustomed germs. I didn't think about the fact that said essential oils got on my fingers during the measuring and mixing. They are all healthy, good things... right?

Well, good and healthy or not, even a quarter-hour after handling the oils, they are still in your skin. Rubbing your eyes with essential-oil saturated fingers is NOT a good thing. It burns. It burns a LOT. It was a reminder that even when doing magic, it is a good thing to clean up after your work when you're done!

Cleanliness really is close to godliness!
